NBA ALL STAR WEEKEND 2022: CLEVELAND
NBA All-Star Weekend 2022 returned to Cleveland in February of 2022.
A weekend full of fun events in downtown Cleveland and locations throughout the city.
The NBA’s brightest stars will be out all weekend at dozens of events like the NBA Crossover fan event and of course main event the ALL STAR GAME.
Although I now live in Charlotte, NC I had to come back to my hometown to celebrate this monumental event.
YES, I did run around town doing my best to experience every single moment I could be apart of.
NBA Crossover is an interactive fan event that showcases the convergence of the NBA and pop culture. The event features unique activations focused on the art, music, fashion, technology and entertainment that surround today’s game.
I got the chance to meet NBA Legend Jacques Dominique Wilkins former professional basketball player who primarily played for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was a nine-time NBA All-Star and is widely viewed as one of the most acrobatic slam dunkers in NBA history, earning the nickname “the Human Highlight Film”.[ In 2006, Wilkins was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. In October 2021, he was honored as one of the league’s greatest players of all-time by being named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.
Congratulations To East Cleveland LEGEND EC RAY JR., he was honored with a street named after him in the neighborhood he grew up! Rapper/ Film Producer/ Business Mogul / Humanitarian! Ray JR. actor, recording artist, and rapper from East Cleveland, Ohio.
He made his debut under the name Young Ray! Made a name for himself as a hometown hero with a string of local hip hop songs He then appeared on Machine Gun Kelly’s 2010 track, “I Know”. He then broke through in 2011 with “Sloppy,” a regional club hit that earned him a contract with Def Jam. By 2014, he released “Same Crew” through Legit Paper Entertainment. Because of his previous experiences, he became an independent artist, not wanting to sign on to any other major record labels. His book, Legit Paper, was published in 2018, and in 2020, he starred in the comedy film, Rent Due. More movies & more boss moves on the way!!

The film festival honors Black culture enthusiasts, artists, creative, actors, filmmakers from all around for screenings and high-powered networking.
