The official trailer for the “Surviving R. Kelly” docu-series are finally here!

 

The Lifetime series has already faced some backlash and there was even a bomb threat called into the press screening a few weeks ago to try and throw a spanner in the works, but this docuseries is not going away.

R. Kelly’s alleged victims have some very intense stories to tell about their relationship with the iconic R&B singer, and the Lifetime network plans to air all the dirty details in their new docuseries Surviving R. Kelly.

The premiere of the series in New York City was interrupted by a bomb threat, Lifetime delivers the first trailers for the six-hour program, which will air in a three-night event. Surviving R. Kelly features a handful of women who shed light on the abuse he allegedly subjected them to. R. Kelly’s ex-wife Andrea Kelly, Jerhonda Pace, Kitti Jones, Asante McGee, Lisa Van Allen, and singer Sparkle all appear in the docuseries.
Several survivors stepped forward to speak their truths, and for some, it was all too much and one of the victims broke down in tears and is seen stepping down from her chair and walking away, overcome with emotion.

 

“Surviving R. Kelly,” in a special three-night-event, beginning Thursday, January 3 at 9pm ET/PT. Two additional hours will premiere on Friday, January 4, at 9pm ET/PT and the final installment of the six-part documentary series will debut on Saturday, January 5, at 9pm ET/PT.
